Our new "Anywhere But Here" yarn collection, with its eleven fun colorways and absurdly punny names, is our way of using humor to address some of the genuine concern we feel for the current state of our country. We deeply believe in the preservation of democracy and the principles that make this nation great. We understand that current events are having a profound impact on countless individuals, and we are not making light of that reality. We are living it and wanted to use yarn to add some levity and light to tough times. This is also why we're donating 10% of all "Anywhere But Here" proceeds through July 5th to the ACLU. Each Magpie has chosen an organization that is close to their heart to highlight here – organizations we encourage you to explore over on the Collection Page. Because if supporting underrepresented, under-resourced and under-served communities is rebellious, then we hope you will join us in being rebels.
Your support of this collection will directly contribute to our ACLU donation next month. We, as individual Magpies and as a company, are committed to using our platforms to not just sell yarn but to support organizations and causes that help make this country better. We also just happen to inject a little humor along the way, because sometimes, if you don't laugh, you'll cry—and honestly, the laughter has been a bit scarce lately. We hope this collection and its ridiculous names offer you a brief respite from doomscrolling and inspire you to discover how you, yes you, can make a difference too.
